Verifies to PC Retail existence of device and reveals launch and pricing details; cheapest model in new range. PC Retail can exclusively confirm that Asus is to launch a new Eee PC device into the UK, “within a matter of weeks”, adding that it would be the cheapest of the new models available.
The device, the Eee PC 904 HD, will be launched into the UK channel within weeks and will be on retailers’ shelves within a month. The Eee PC 904 HD will come in the same body as the 1001, will ship with an 8.9-inch screen, but feature a full size keyboard. It will also feature a hard disk instead of a solid state drive that the other models feature, hence the HD after its name.
